Sharing Warmth this Winter

In November, the gunnercooke Foundation launched our Winter Care Box Appeal 2025, rallying support to provide thoughtfully curated care packages for people in need. Over just three weeks, the initiative raised an amazing £13,000 thanks to the generosity of the public, partners, and supporting organisations.

With these funds, the Foundation created bespoke care boxes designed around the needs of the inspire* charities involved. Packages were tailored for families, teenagers, adults, and children, and filled with practical and comforting items such as gloves, socks, hats, sweet treats, books, self-care products, and toys.

From the 1 – 4 December, thanks to the incredible efforts of 30 gunnercooke volunteers, 504 winter care boxes were packed and shipped to 12 inspire* charities across Essex, Kent, London, Reading, Nottingham, Leeds, Sheffield, and Newcastle. Working to a soundtrack of classic Christmas tunes, our volunteers packed at lightning speed to get the job done (and wore some very fun and festive hats in the process). These packages will now be distributed to service users, helping bring a little warmth and comfort to communities across the country this winter.

We would like to say and huge thank you to everyone who supported the appeal. Whether it was a donation, a share or volunteering of time, it was great to see so many people coming together for a great cause!

A huge thank you goes out to our corporate donors, who's contributions made it the campaign possible.
